Chamberlin Edmonds & Associates Inc., a provider of specialized eligibility determination services to America’s hospitals, has been acquired by Charterhouse Group, Highlander Partners and MTS Health Investors. Selling shareholders include Galen Partners and Trident Capital. No financial terms were disclosed. R.W. Baird & Co. advised the sellers, while GE Healthcare Financial Services served as debt arranger and CIT Healthcare provided the senior notes.

Fenway Partners has acquired a majority stake in Preferred Freezer Services LLC, a Newark, N.J.–based provider of frozen seafood storage solutions, from TA Associates. Company management will retain a 25 percent ownership position. No financial terms were disclosed.

Polaris Acquisition Corp., a listed special purpose acquisition vehicle, has agreed to buy Hughes Telematics for around $700 million in cash. Hughes Telematics is an Atlanta-based maker of car navigation, diagnostics, and Internet access products. It was formed in 2006 with capital from Apollo Management.

Warburg Pincus has sold Hungary-based healthcare services company Euromedic to Merrill Lynch Global Private Equity and Ares Life Sciences. No financial terms were disclosed. The existing Euromedic management team will remain in place.
