Stonehage Fleming adds ex-Lehman exec Becton Davis to financial team

The U.K. family office Stonehage Fleming said it hired Becton Davis as a group chief financial officer.

He has been with Stonehage since February, according to his LinkedIn page.

Davis comes to Stonehage Fleming after seven years as CFO at Close Brothers Asset Management. Before that, Davis was a vice president at Lehman Brothers from 2003 to 2009.

He holds an MBA from the University of New Mexico’s Robert O. Anderson School of Management.

Davis is based in Stonehage Fleming’s London office.

The firm’s history stretches back to the 19th century. It bills itself as the world’s second-largest independent family office  and the largest in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.

It provides services to more than 250 families and, a news release says, “advises on over $55 billion of assets and includes an investment business with more than $13 billion under management for families and charities.”

Stonehage employs more than 560 in 11 offices worldwid.  Last year, the firm announced an alliance with Glenmede Trust Co of Philadelphia.
