Strathclyde approves £50m in commitments

The Glasgow-based public pension has backed two private equity funds.

Strathclyde Pension Fund has confirmed a £50 million ($66 million; €60 million) commitment across two private equity funds, according to the pension’s March investment committee meeting minutes.

The commitments comprised of £25 million each to Panoramic Fund 3 and Palatine Impact Fund II. The pension previously invested into the Panoramic Fund series, investing £5 million into Fund 1 and £15 million into Fund 2.

The commitment to Palatine Impact Fund II represents the second investment the pension has made to Palatine Private Equity managed funds. In 2020, Strathclyde committed £25 million into Palatine Private Equity Fund IV.
