SVG replaces Williams

Following the departure of CEO Andrew Williams, SVG Advisers, the UK private equity and fund management business of SVG Capital, has found a replacement in Tony Dalwood.

Dalwood joined SVG Advisors in 2002 as head of public equities. Following the appointment, Nicholas Ferguson will renounce his interim executive role and return to his position as chairman of SVG Capital.

Lynn Fordham has also been promoted to CEO of SVG Capital. She joined the SVG Capital Board as finance director in July 2008.

SVG has had a turbulent beginning to 2009. The firm that primarily targets private equity funds that are managed or advised by Permira recently announced they will not make any new investments for the next two years. The news came following the 63.4% fall in the net asset value of Permira.
