Tacit Closes $7.3M Series A Round

In 1992, Tim Williams and his team founded CrosStor Technologies, a data storage provider that grew steadily until the group sold it in 2000 to storage giant EMC for more than $300 million. It was shortly after the sale that Williams began his next venture, Tacit Networks Inc. With an emphasis on wide area network storage, Williams sees the company as being at the forefront of the next wave of data storage technology. And when he recently looked to the venture markets for his first significant funding, he did not have to look far.
