Tech officer for eVolution

With a view to strengthening the business-building capabilities of its management team, venture capital and services firm eVolution Global Partners has appointed Chi Nguyen to the position of Venture Technology Officer. Nguyen will be based in the London headquarters of eVolution and will be responsible for technology developments ensuring that all eVolution ventures have the technical systems and support that they require to build successful businesses quickly.

Nguyen was previously chief technology officer at eVentures, the venture capital accelerator backed by SOFTBANK and ePartners. Before that, he was an e-commerce strategist in the global exchange services business unit at Deutsche Bank. During his time at Deutsche Bank, Nguyen also served as the global manager in client services technology for the global exchange services business. In this capacity he designed an architectural framework for deploying global applications via the Internet and trained a global development team to implement the product.

Founded in March this year, eVolution Global Partners is a venture capital firm focused on working with corporate partners to leverage legacy assets in order to build new, independent businesses. The company was founded by Bain & Company, Texas Pacific Group and Kleiner, Perkins, Caulfield & Byers and is headquartered in London, with regional hubs in San Fransisco, Munich, Tokyo and Hong Kong.
