Thompson Street Capital Partners hires two VPs

  • New exec formerly served with U.S. Air Force; worked at Audax
  • Another was at Lindsay Goldberg
  • Both recently graduated from Wharton MBA program

Thompson Street Capital Partners hired two vice presidents who recently earned their MBAs from Wharton after working at other private-equity firms.

The two executives will work on the St Louis firm’s acquisitions team as it invests Thompson Street Capital Partners IV, which closed on $640 million in commitments late last year.

Jeff Aiello previously served with the U.S. Air Force. He also was a senior associate with Audax Group’s PE team.

Brandon Muirhead was an associate with Lindsay Goldberg in New York. He was also a Fulbright Scholar.

Thompson Street closed out TSCP IV on Dec. 11, ahead of its original $500 million target, in four months. The firm hit the ground running with 10 buyouts and exits since then.

In its most recent deal, Thompson Street in June bought the commercial operations of ISTO Technologies, a maker of products for the spine and orthopedics markets. The price wasn’t disclosed.
