IR executive Pietersen jumps from Bain to Vista

Vista Equity Partners hired former Bain Capital investor relations executive Chris Pietersen in December, according to the firm’s website.

Pietersen, who joined Vista as a senior vice president of investor relations, joined Bain in 2014 and left in 2015. Prior to Bain, Pietersen worked at First Reserve for nearly four years, Buyouts previously reported.

Pietersen joined an expanding IR team at Vista. Other IR executives at the firm include Senior Vice President Christine Pastore, who leads the IR team; Director of IR Jessica Segal; Vice President of IR Sathya Shanthakumar; and Senior Associate Ralph DeBernardo, according to Vista’s website.

The expanded investor relations team has been keeping busy, as Vista is in the market with numerous funds. The firm is targeting $8 billion for its sixth flagship fund, $2 billion for its third small-market vehicle, and $1 billion for its second credit fund.
