YAC Limited, a venture-backed provider of internet messaging services, has been acquired by US group j2 Global Communications.

Headquartered in Ireland, YAC was founded in 1999 and raised a total of US$15.5m from Pond Ventures, zouk ventures, AMP Capital and the European Technology Fund.
