Brockhaus Private Equity has made its first investment from its first fund. The E4 million investment was in Cyberchart, a software management company. Co-investing with Brockhaus was TBG, an investor in Brockhaus’s fund, which closed in May this year having raised E50 million.

Brockhaus Private Equity, based in Frankfurt, was founded early last year by Marco Brockhaus and Andreas Rosenberg after the pair left 3i. Barbara Altmeyer who concentrates on fund administration joins them from the incubator arm of Startup Campus.

Brockhaus Private Equity raised E40million of its fund from US and German institutional investors and a further E10 million from private investors. The firm will invest in TMT, e-commerce and service companies in deals of around E5 million to E10 million size.
