Belgium-based ORMvision has secured EURO2 million in its second round of funding from GIMV and existing investor, Big Bang Ventures. ORMvision has developed a new segment in operational support systems used in the telecommunications industry. Big Bang Ventures was the sole investor in the company’s first round of EURO500,000 funding in May. The new capital will be used for product development, sales and marketing and for launching the commercial service operational relationship management.
The company was founded in December 2000 by the former operations managers of Unisource/KPN. The current management team brings over 50 years of combined experience in managing operational relations with interconnected telecommunications operators.
Rudi Severijns, senior investment manager with GIMV who led the round, said: “Taking into account the growing number of inter-dependent operators, service providers and suppliers as a result of further liberalisation of the telecom environment, this represents a great opportunity.”
