ABN AMRO Capital has sold its majority stake in Handicare, the largest producer and distributor of technical aids for elderly and handicapped people in Norway, in a secondary buyout transaction. The buyer is Ferd Private Equity. Terms have not been disclosed and no purchase price was disclosed when ABN AMRO Capital bought the business in March 2003.
Handicare was founded in 1986 and is based in Moss, Norway. The company employs 300 staff in Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Germany and had revenues of NOK610m last year.
