Adveq exec joins Caisse de dépôt

Gupta had been an executive director and head of U.S. buyout investing for Adveq, the Zurich-based fund-of-funds and advisory firm with $6 billion of assets under management. He left Adveq at the end of June. He focus is Caisse de dépôt’s investments in private equity funds, including primary and secondary stakes. Gupta is working under Frederic Godbout, senior vice president and head of fund investing.

Gupta has been quoted frequently in Buyouts and penned an article on co-investing in 2014. He joined Adveq in 2008 after working as an associate at Lehman Brothers

Meanwhile, Ethan Vogelhut, vice president, Adveq, will be filling Gupta’s role at the firm, a spokeswoman said. Vogelhut joined Adveq in 2010. Lee Gardella, managing director, head of risk management, is head of Adveq’s U.S. office.
