Atlas Venture has appointed Fred Destin as a principal focused on information technology investments. He will be based in the firm’s London office.
As a former partner of Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein’s OM Technology Investments group, Destin was focused on infrastructure software. At Dresdner, he worked closely with management teams in both Europe and the US and served as director of, among others, Inxight Software (unstructured data management), Kasenna (VOD infrastructure) and Vordel (web services security.)
Destin was also previously venture manager at Speed Ventures (a seed stage technology investor), an executive director at Goldman Sachs in London and has additional experience with Zurich Capital Markets and JP Morgan.
He holds a master in finance and financial engineering from the university of Brussels.
