The US pension has backed two private equity funds.

Arkansas Teacher Retirement System has confirmed $60 million in commitments across two private equity vehicles, according to materials from the pension’s April board of trustees meeting.

The pension committed $30 million each to Arlington Capital Partners VI and Franklin Park Venture Fund XIV. For Franklin Park‘s vehicle, this is a top-up investment that brings the total investment to $60 million.

The $21.78 billion US public pension has a 12.4 percent current allocation to private equity and as illustrated below, tends to target North America-focused vehicles pursuing a variety of sectors.
