Augusta appts

Augusta & Co, the independent merchant bank providing corporate finance and capital markets services to European clients, has appointed Thomas Warnholtz and Gerard Sander as partners.

Thomas Warnholtz is experienced in structured investments and leveraged debt banking. Prior to joining Augusta & Co he worked as country head and investment director for Germany, Switzerland and Austria at Intermediate Capital Group. Before that he established the structured finance group at Landesbank Berlin/Bankgesellschaft Berlin after working in the investment banking division of Citibank/Citicorp in Frankfurt and New York.

At Augusta & Co he will head the financial sponsor coverage activities and will focus on debt structuring and placement of transactions with responsibility for mezzanine finance for the firm’s European middle market clients.

Sander has over 22 years experience in investment banking. He spent the last two years at WestLB Panmure as head of investment banking for France covering its M&A, ECM, private placement, private equity and high yield activities. Prior to this he was an executive director at Lazard where he spent 15 years working in Paris and London.

Sander will be responsible for the firm’s growing French business, which includes both capital markets and advisory engagements and will also focus on secondary portfolio and fund activities.
