Banc of America Securities has hired Rommie Bhuntani to fill the new position of co-head of leveraged finance. His main focus is on financial sponsors.
Bhutani will report to Arrington Mixon, head of international debt, Eric Karp, global head of financial sponsors, and Mike Meyer, global head of leveraged finance debt capital markets.
Bhutani moves from CSFB where he was a director in the financial sponsors group and before the merger was a vice president in DLJ’s high yield business. Bhutani’s arrival is part of a hiring spree by Banc of America’s European debt businesses and four other hires have recently been made in structured finance, trading and financial institutions.
