Bouissou joins Ventech

Philippe Bouissou has joined Ventech as a partner. He boasts international software industry and venture capital expertise and will share the responsibility for software investments with Eric Huet.

Bouissou joined Matra in 1989 to head up its technology watch unit in Silicon Valley. In 1991 in the US, he founded and managed G2i Inc, a UNIX programming language software vendor. He was then a senior vice president of Matra Hachette Multimedia and in 1995 he moved to Apple Computer’s Cupertino head office, where he held a series of management positions including the worldwide responsibility for the company’s Internet commerce and services group.

From 1998 to 2003, Bouissou was general partner at Allegis Capital, a $510m Silicon Valley-based venture capital firm with $510m under management. Allegis came out of AVI (Associated Venture Investors), which was formed in 1982.

At Allegis, Bouissou was a member of the boards of directors of several start-ups including Eveo, DigiGroup (sold to Noosh), LGC Wireless, Mergent System (sold to CommerceOne), Noosh and Size Technologies. He co-invested with a number of Silicon Valley-based venture capital firms such as Accel, Bay Partners, AdvancedTechnology Ventures, Crosspoint, Mayfield, USVP, Technology Partners and Trinity Venture.
