Brenner to Benchmark

Benchmark Capital has appointed Johan Brenner as a general partner in London.

Brenner is a specialist in the technology sector. Prior to joining Benchmark, he was the founder and chairman of TIME Vision, a Nordic based company focusing on early stage technology investing.

As an entrepreneur, investor and board member he has built a number of successful companies such as Jobline, E*Trade Nordic, Debitech and Tradera. He was also MD of E*Trade Europe and chairman of Jobline International AB. Before founding TIME Vision, he held various executive positions with the Kinnevik Group, such as chief operating officer of Modern Times Group, executive vice president of the Kinnevik Group and president of 3C Communications in Luxembourg.

Prior to the Kinnevik Group Brenner spent around 10 years working for the ABB Group in various executive positions in financial services and power generation.

Brenner will be the fourth general partner in Europe joining George Coelho, Barry Maloney and Mark Evans. In addition to funds investing in the US and Israel, Benchmark has a $500m fund targeted at early stage technology businesses in Europe.
