The Carlyle Group has announced that Mike Ramsay has joined from Prudential M&G, where he was head of leveraged finance, to set up a European leveraged finance operation for the group. Carlyle already has a US leveraged finance business, which has been in operation since 1999 and currently has $3bn under management in a variety of leveraged loans, high yield bonds and six CDO structures.
