Chart of the week: More than half of lenders predict fall in leverage multiples this year

Credit markets have long been considered the rocket fuel of the leveraged buyout market and this year lenders say that fuel will lose some of its punch. Against a backdrop of collapsing commodity prices and slower growth in China, more than half of lenders in a recent survey see both senior leverage multiples on buyout deals and total leverage multiples dropping this year.
