London-headquartered corporate finance adviser Close Brothers has made a double addition to its Manchester team with the appointment of Ben Thompson and James Hurrell.
Thompson joins as an associate, having previously worked at Zeus Capital, also in Manchester. He has extensive experience of public company work, including both flotations and takeovers. He worked on the IPO of local businesses Energetix Group and Discover Leisure as well as the takeover of Inventive Leisure.
Hurrell has joined as an analyst. He previously spent a year working at Christopher Street Capital, a subsidiary of The GFI Group in London where he worked on credit-to-equity research whilst also attaining the Investment Management Certificate.
