Crestbridge looks to boost its US business through senior hire

The specialty firm is looking to expand its presence in the US after opening up an office in New York earlier this year.

Crestbridge, an independent provider of private equity and real estate administration solutions, hired Marta Ciemiega as US business development director.

Ciemiega brings more than 17 years of experience to the London-based firm as it looks to boost its presence in the US.

Ciemiega will be based at Crestbridge’s office in New York. She has extensive knowledge of global private markets, including in real estate, venture capital, private equity and private credit.

In her new role, she will work closely with Crestbridge’s leadership team, prospective clients and client-facing teams to focus on driving growth in the US.

“Across private markets, managers are very successfully raising money and US private equity and venture capital are both doing particularly well this year,” Ciemiega told Buyouts. She noted that Pitchbook data shows that in the US, PE deals topped $787 billion through the third quarter of this year, breaking the previous 2019 record.

“We’re aiming to increase both the number and quality of relationships with US GPs and real estate managers in particular, over the remainder of 2021 and throughout 2022,” Ciemiega added.

Ciemiega joins Crestbridge from Sanne Group, where she was responsible for design and execution of North American business development strategy. Prior to that, she held senior roles in RBC Investor & Treasury Services, Bloomberg LP, Fitch Solutions and Standard & Poor’s Global Ratings.

Crestbridge employs more than 400 people and has eight international offices: Bahrain, Cayman, Ireland, Jersey, London, Luxembourg, New Jersey and New York.
