Buyouts’ Q3 2020 fundraising report is now available for download.

Buyouts data show fundraising by North American private equity firms dipped in Q1-Q3 2020, with 403 offerings securing $200 billion, down 25 percent from the same time last year.

A growth trend in 2020’s first half was reversed in the third quarter, when both capital raised and funds closed dropped sharply year-over-year. These results likely point to the increased influence of the covid-19 pandemic on market activity.
