Investment bank Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein (DrKW) has appointed Federico Buccellati as managing director and head of Italy for its corporate finance and origination business.
He will start his new role in August and be based in London and Milan. He joins from Citigroup, where he was joint head of investment banking for Italy since 2001.
At DrKW Buccellati will be responsible for expanding the bank’s relationships with Italian corporate clients as well as overseeing the Italian-related business initiatives of international clients.
He will be assisted by Fabio Pigorini, who is also joining from Citigroup as a director with DrKW based in Milan. Together they will help grow the corporate finance and origination team for DrKW in Italy to complement the bank’s existing 60-strong operation there.
Buccellati will report to Steve Berger, executive chairman of corporate finance and origination at DrKW and Joe Dryer, deputy head. The team will work closely with Jimmy Fiore, head of debt capital markets Italy, as well as DrKW’s sector and product specialists in London.
