Dunedin names analyst

UK mid-market firm Dunedin has added Simon Rowan as an analyst, the fourth hire by the outfit this year. Rowan will be responsible for transacting deals across the UK.

He graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2003 with an MA Honours in Business and Economics. After graduating, he joined Walter Scott & Partners as a trainee fund manager and equity analyst. He then moved to London to join HSBC in their UK Corporate Treasury and FX Trading team before moving across to HSBC Investments as a quantitative analyst in their Multimanager division.

He then spent two years in New York as a product specialist and manager of investment managers before returning to London as an associate in HSBC’s private equity team where he was responsible for sourcing, negotiating and delivering deals.
