ABS Ventures VI LP of Boston has filed to raise $63.6 million through a private offering of partnership interests. At the time of its SEC filing, the fund had already raised $46.2 million from seven accredited investors. A minimum investment of $100,000 is required on the placement. Calvert Capital IV LLC is cited as a general and/or managing partner, Pomona Capital V LP is mentioned as a beneficial owner.

Champion Ventures III LP of Palo Alto, Calif., raised an additional $700,000 from four accredited investors through a private offering of partnership interests. This brings the total amount raised to $25.7 million. Most recently, the fund reported that it had raised $25 million from 18 accredited investors as of April 2003. Champion Ventures calls itself a private equity fund.

Champion Ventures III (Q) LP of Woodside, Calif., raised $80.2 million from 28 accredited investors through a private offering of partnership interests. Champion Ventures calls itself a private equity fund.

Friend Skoler Equity Investors-A LP of Saddle Brook, N.J., has filed to raise $67 million through a private offering of partnership interests. At the time of its SEC filing, the fund had already raised $11 million from three accredited investors. The fund plans to make investments in the lower middle market companies.

Platinum Equity Capital Partners-PF LP of Los Angeles has filed to raise $750 million through a private offering of partnership interests. At the time of its SEC filing, the fund had already raised $85 million from two accredited investors. The minimum investment of $10 million required on the placement can be waived. Atlantic-Pacific Capital Inc. of Greenwich, Conn., helped to place an issue for $420,927 million in sales commissions. The fund plans to invest in businesses that has recurring revenue streams and long-term customer relationships, but currently is experiencing operational difficulties.
