At the time of its SEC filing, the fund had already raised $808,696 from eight accredited investors. InvestPrivate Inc. of New York helped to place an issue for $64,696 in commissions. The minimum investment of $100,000 required on the placement can be waived.

Carlyle/Riverstone BPL Partners II LP of Washington, D.C., raised $15.6 million from 12 accredited investors through a private placement of partnership interests. Fund?s beneficial owners include: Sun Trust Equity Funding LLC, Lime Partners LLC, HH Equity Corp., and Lenox Equity Corp.

Emergence Capital Partners LP has filed to raise $100 million through a private offering of partnership interests. At the time of its SEC filing, the fund had already raised $47.5 million from 17 accredited investors. In separate filing, Emergence Capital Associates LP has filed to raise $25 million through a private offering of partnership interests. At the time of its SEC filing, the fund had already raised $21.1 million from 49 accredited investors. Both partnerships are located in Burlingame, Calif., have Emergence Equity Partners LLC as a GP and call themselves venture capital funds.

Giza Venture Fund IV LP of Tel Aviv, Israel has filed to raise $275 million through a private placement of partnership interests. At the time of its SEC filing, the fund had already raised $30 million from two accredited investors. Searle & Co. of Greenwich, Conn., and DAV/Wetherly Financial LP of Los Angeles help to place the issue. AlpInvest Partners GVF 2004 C.V. of Amsterdam, The Mohawk River Fund III LP of Boston are listed as beneficial owners of the fund.
