Gimv goes Dutch

Belgian firm Gimv has made three new appointments to its Netherlands team.

Ivo Vincente has been appointed manager in charge of buyout & growth activities in the country, while Aik Deveneijns joins the venture capital team and Chrisbert van Kooten has been hired for his infrastructure expertise.

Having joined Gimv in 2002, Vincente will succeed Geert-Jan van Logestijn, who will be leaving the firm. Prior to his appointment of senior investment manager seven years ago, Vincente worked at Alpinvest and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Deveneijns has also been recruited and will join Elderd Land in the venture capital team in the Netherlands. He will be based in the Hague office and work alongside the firm’s other venture experts in Antwerp, Paris and Munich.

Van Kooten joins DG Infra+, a joint venture between Gimv and Dexia for infrastructure and related activities. The business is on the hunt for a second employeed in the Netherlands.
