Groupe Doucet in secondary buyout

CDC IXIS and SG Private Equity have exited their investment in Group Doucet via a secondary buyout transaction. Financial details of the deal were undisclosed. ING PARCOM Private Equity has acquired a majority stake in the business alongside ABM AMRO Capital. The management of the group has also committed capital to the business.

Groupe Doucet was created in 1999 following a buyout led by Bernard Guez and other existing management. The group distributes its range of Starwax, Kapo and Kiraviv brands via DIY stores and its professional cleaning product brands Purodor and Marosam are sold directly to small and medium sized enterprises as well as local authorities.

The business is now entering a new development phase and the additional funding will enable it to pursue additional acquisition opportunities in France and Europe.
