Harren Equity bulking up staff after quick fundraise

  • Harren Equity adding up to seven people
  • Seeking vice presidents, senior associates
  • Firm closed $275 mln Fund III in five months

Harren Equity plans to add five to seven people this year to augment its current staff of 15 people, according to a source.

Harren Equity recently hired Ethan Caskey, who has more than five years experience in private equity, as a senior associate. The firm also promoted C. Joel Carter to vice president from senior associate.

The expansion comes as the firm sifts for deals in the energy services, consumer, business services, healthcare, industrial and power & infrastructure sectors.

Tom Carver, managing partner, founded the firm in 2000 after working at H.I.G. Capital in Miami. Lee Monahan, George Urban and Jonathan Earnhardt are all partners.

Harren closed Harren Equity Partners III last July.
