IPES replaces chair

One of Guernsey’s most prominent female entrepreneurs, Connie Helyar has resigned her post as chairman of fund administrator International Private Equity Services (IPES) to make way for the newly appointed chairman Richard Grainger.

Following the appointment of Grainger, the co-founder of the firm, Helyar will take on a consultant role to the firm.

Prior to IPES, Grainger was chief executive of Close Brothers Corporate Finance for six years and continues to hold the role of chairman. He has over 25 years of experience working in the City of London, having qualified as a chartered accountant with PwC.

IPES has also hired a new chief financial officer to the firm. Gavin Hayman has been recruited from Porton Capital to take on the role of CFO. At Porton, he was technical director responsible for managing several funds and the legal aspects relating to group structure, investments and exit vehicles.
