ISIS and F&C merge

ISIS and F&C have merged. Friends Provident will become a 51% majority shareholder of the enlarged group. The enlarged group will adopt F&C’s corporate name and brand.

The merger will have minimal impact on the group’s private equity business, ISIS Equity Partners (overseen by Wol Kolade) and the VCT business (overseen by David Thorp), which manages the Baronsmead VCTs. The main change to those businesses will be a name change from ISIS Equity Partners to F&C Equity Partners. Baronsmead will continue to run as a brand in its own right.
