LP Gigliotti to retire as private markets head at DuPont Capital

  • Campbell to succeed him after Gigliotti steps down
  • Gigliotti to remain active on investment committee
  • DuPoint Capital has $3.6 billion under management

Gigliotti, who joined DuPont in 1992, will be replaced by Kevin Campbell, who is now director and portfolio manager, effective July 1, according to Bill Blase, a spokesman for the company, sister website peHUB reported.

Blase declined to comment on why Gigliotti is leaving his role. Gigliotti did not respond to several requests for comment. He will remain involved with DuPont Capital’s private markets group as a member of the investment committee, participating in weekly staff meetings and reviewing investment opportunities, Blase said.

Prior to DuPont Capital, Gigliotti was vice president of First Westinghouse Capital Corp, responsible for making direct investments in private placements of subordinated debt and equity, according to DuPont Capital’s website. Prior to Westinghouse Capital, Gigliotti was assistant vice president of M&A at PNC Merchant Banking.

Campbell has been with DuPont Capital since 2010, according to his biography on the website. Prior to that, Campbell was a partner with Montagu Newhall Associates Inc, responsible for private equity, secondary investments and co-investments, as well as capital-raising, the biography said.

DuPont Capital was established in 1993 and has about $3.6 billion in private equity assets under management.
