French online loyalty programme operator Maximiles.com has raised s9 million in a second funding round. Formed in late 1999, Maximiles.com has established a position as the leading online loyalty programme in France, amassing 40,000 members and signing agreements with partners including Europcar.fr, Abaxbourse.com, Ticketnet.fr, dooyoo.com, and LibertyTV.com.
The company received initial seed funding of s2.5 million from a syndicate including Sofinnova Ventures. In the second round, GIMV Venture Capital ICT acted as lead investor, committing s3.7 million. SPEF, the venture fund of the Banque Populaire group, provided s3.2 million and the company’s first-round backers contributed an additional s2.1 million.
