MMC backs low energy ventilation business

UK VC MMC Ventures has invested £1.1m in E-Stack Limited in its first ever cleantech investment.

E-Stack is a Cambridge-based designer and manufacturer of ultra low-energy ventilation systems, and has developed technology which reduces energy consumption of buildings by 50% compared to those who use conventional systems.

Founded in 2006, the company is a spin-out from Cambridge University’s BP Institute, a commercialization programme run by the oil giant.

MMC’s investment will be used as working capital and to expand the sales and R&D teams.
