Morton’s charity marathon

Paul Morton of McInnesCorporateFinance in Leeds has taken three months extended leave and during that time will take part in the Marathon Des Sables, one of the toughest endurance races in the world, to raise funds for charity. The Marathon Des Sables takes place in April and is spread over six days covering over 155 miles. Runners endure temperatures of up to 120 degrees fahrenheit, running on uneven, rocky ground as well as crossing the Sahara Desert.

Morton has already run the London, New York, Chicago and Rome Marathons. He will be running the event in aid of local Leeds charities. He said: “I’m looking forward to the challenge. Not only will I be running, I will also have to carry everything I will need for the duration (apart from water and a tent) on my back in a rucksack; that’s food, clothes, medical kit and sleeping bag.”

Morton would be grateful for any sponsorship received. Anyone wanting to sponsor him should contact Lorraine on +44 0113 245 4965.
