PRIVATE EQUITY FIRMS

Carlyle Group named Jesse Wu a senior adviser to the Asia buyout team. Wu is former chairman of Johnson & Johnson China and former worldwide chairman of Johnson & Johnson Consumer Group.

Clayton, Dubilier & Rice named Nitin Sahney an operating adviser to its funds. Sahney is former president and chief executive of Omnicare Inc.

Constitution Capital Partners named Dominic Morell an analyst. Morell previously served Constitution as a summer analyst in 2015.

Electra Private Equity, which has been the focus of a campaign by activist investor Edward Bramson, said that board members Kate Barker and Francesca Barnes resigned.

Hidden Harbor Capital Partners appointed Tucker Coates vice president of business development. Coates previously was an adviser to Capital Midwest, a Milwaukee venture firm.

Insight Venture Partners hired Kevin Hurth as vice president of capital markets. Hurth previously was a vice president in BMO Harris Bank‘s sponsor finance group.

J.F. Lehman & Co appointed retired Army Gen. John F. Campbell to its operating executive board. During his 37-year tenure in the Army, Gen. Campbell led units in Germany, Haiti, Iraq, Afghanistan and the United States.

Liberty Hall Capital Partners named Jack F. Nadal a principal. Nadal previously served as a senior vice president at Insight Equity.

Monroe Capital said Steve Hinrichs joined the firm as a managing director in its Los Angeles office, serving as group head for the Southern California region. He was previously a managing director at Capital One Business Credit.

Neuberger Berman Private Equity hired David Zolot as a principal. Zolot will source and make acquisitions for Marquee Brands, a brand-management company backed by the firm. Zolot previously was senior vice president of corporate development at Saban Brands.

O2 Investment Partners added Evan Schultz to its investment team. Schultz, formerly of Baker Tilly Capital LLC, will be responsible for sourcing new transactions, due diligence, underwriting and monitoring O2’s portfolio companies.

Praesidian Capital named Bill Johnston an associate. Johnston joins the firm from PNC Capital Markets LLC.

Rock Hill Capital Group appointed Grant M. Jungeblut a business development associate. He previously was an analyst at New Tech Global Ventures.

Wynnchurch Capital named Chris Curfman to its executive advisory board. Curfman is former president of Caterpillar Global Mining and senior vice president of CAT Inc, a maker of construction and mining equipment.

PORTFOLIO COMPANIES

AIRIS Wellsite Services, which is backed by Lime Rock Partners, named Brendan Ryan CEO. Ryan’s background includes senior leadership roles at UTEC Survey, Bredero Shaw, Shaw Pipeline Services and FMC Smith Systems. AIRIS, Tulsa, Oklahoma, provides silica dust control solutions.

Belk Inc, which is owned by Sycamore Partners, named Lisa Harper CEO. She most recently served as CEO of Hot Topic Inc. She will succeed Tim Belk, who retired.

BW Gas & Convenience Holdings LLC, which is backed by Brookwood Financial Partners LLC, expanded management, naming Lisa Dodson a pricebook manager; Kolby Jones and Greg Penman regional directors of acquisitions; Tony Sparks vice president of merchandising, and Rebecca Teiken senior IT manager. BW owns and operates gas stations with convenience stores.

Media Source Inc., a portfolio company of Vistria Group LLC, named Victor F. Ganzi chairman. Media Source provides collection development and library management services. Ganzi is an operating partner for Vistria.

Paradigm Precision, a portfolio company of Carlyle Group, named Ronojoy Ghosh vice president of business development. Gosh was most recently a general manager within the Engine and Environmental Control Systems unit of UTC Aerospace Systems.

SERVICE PROVIDERS

Ameri Holdings Inc, an SAP-based strategy consulting firm, added Venkatraman Balakrishnan to the board. Balakrishnan is founder and chairman of Exfinity Venture Partners, a venture fund focused on tech startups. He is also a former chief financial officer at Infosys Ltd.

Berkshire Group appointed Justin Brown vice president of venture investments. Brown previously served as vice president of commercial real estate banking at M&T Bank.

Egon Zehnder, an executive-search and leadership-advisory services firm, hired Justine Gordon as an executive recruitment consultant and talent strategy adviser for its private equity practice. Gordon previously was a managing director at Carlyle Group’s AlpInvest.

Financial Technology Partners hired Stephen Stout as a managing director in its New York office. Stout was most recently global head of strategy at First Data.

Great Rock Capital Partners named Lori Potter managing director of originations and Christina Zielinski vice president of portfolio and underwriting. Potter previously was managing director of originations at Monroe Capital LLC.  Zielinski served as assistant vice president of natural resources and credit risk at Barclays.

Prashant Fuloria has joined Fundbox as chief product officer while Oren Katz was named VP R&D and Michal Cieplinski was appointed general counsel and chief compliance officer. Johnson Ma joined Fundbox as VP business development. Fuloria was previously senior vice president of advertising products at Yahoo; Katz was VP R&D and general manager at eXelate; Cieplinski was previously managing director and senior counsel at Bank of New York Mellon and Ma was with Trial Pay.

Houlihan Lokey named Jacqueline Kosecoff to the board. Kosecoff is a managing partner at Moriah Partners. She is also a former senior executive at UnitedHealth Group-PacifiCare.

Janney Montgomery Scott LLC named John Putrino a managing director for its real estate investment banking group. Putrino is former CEO of Sachem Street Capital Advisors.

Mizuho tapped Christopher Nam a managing director and head of internet and digital media investment banking for its North American banking business. Nam joins Mizuho from Credit Suisse.

Raymond James hired Brendan Tierney as a managing director for its industrials investment banking practice. Tierney previously led the industrials practice at Janney Montgomery Scott.

PROMOTIONS

Canada Pension Plan Investment Board named Alain Carrier managing director and head of international, and he joins the senior management team. Suyi Kim was promoted to managing director and head of Asia, reporting to the head of international. And Deborah Orida was appointed managing director and head of private equity for Asia, responsible for leading private investments in Asia.

Charlesbank Capital Partners promoted Joshua N. Beer and Jason W. Pike to managing directors. Beer first joined the firm as an associate in 2003 while Pike came on board in 2012.

HCAP Partners, formerly Huntington Capital, promoted Frank Mora to partner. Mora joined the firm in early 2013 and served on the investment committee for HCAP Partners III LP. HCAP Partners finances companies located in the western United States, in the services, manufacturing, software and healthcare industries.

SK Capital Partners made three promotions: Stephen d’Incelli becomes a principal while Jared Kramer and Jay Taunk are now senior associates.

Trinity Hunt Partners promoted Blake Apel to principal. The Dallas private- equity firm also hired Garrett Greer as a vice president. Apel previously was a vice president at Trinity Hunt while Greer served as a vice president at Lone Star Investment Advisors.
