New Capstone Partners hire tapped to open New York office

  • Dallas-based firm hires Michael Keaveney as principal
  • Keaveney worked at Mercury Capital Advisors, Atlantic-Pacific Capital
  • Capstone expanding distribution presence in Northeast

Clay Deniger, managing partner at Dallas-based Capstone Partners, told Buyouts that Keaveney was hired to deepen the firm’s already strong relationships in the Northeast. Keaveney is based in New York, and will open an office in the city to go along with Capstone’s offices in Dallas, Switzerland and Singapore.

Keaveney officially joined Capstone Partners in January as a principal after working on fund placement for Mercury Capital Advisors and Atlantic-Pacific Capital. He has also worked with Performance Equity Management, a fund of funds manager, and as an investment banking analyst at Credit Suisse First Boston

”His proven success in building strong relationships and raising capital will continue to expand and strengthen our North American coverage,” Steve Standbridge, managing partner at Capstone Partners, said in a prepared statement. “Michael’s experience as both a funds placement professional and a limited partner gives him the ideal background to be successful at Capstone.”

Capstone lost its co-founder last September with the death of Frank (Tripp) Brower after a 16-month battle with multiple myeloma.
