New Partech partner

Partech International has hired Ami Amir as venture partner to strengthen the firm’s growing communications investment activities in Israel. Amir is the former chief executive officer of Radvision, a company he founded in 1993. Radvision pioneered the standards and applications for Voice Multimedia over IP and is the market leader in real-time IP solutions. Amir was instrumental in all aspects of the company’s growth from start-up to initial customer acquisition to its IPO in 2000 achieving revenues of over $45 million in 2000.

Prior to founding Radvision, Amir was engineering group leader for Simtech which provides interactive, real time training and simulation systems for Israeli military forces.

Partech is an international firm with offices in San Francisco and Paris. General partner Jean Marc Patouillaud, said: “Ami has excellent operating experience, a deep understanding of communications technologies, and extensive industry contacts all of which will add a great deal to our investment efforts in Israel in this space.”
