Palamon hires from Morgan Stanley

Palamon Capital Partners, a European private equity firm, has strengthened its team with the appointment of Jaime Enrique Hugas as principal.

Hugas, a Spanish national, joins from Morgan Stanley where he was executive director of the European media and communications corporate finance group, based in London.

Before that, Hugas was in London and Madrid with JPMorgan’s advisory and M&A team. Palamon said that Hugs will bolster the firm’s existing capabilities in Spain while also contributing to the firms investment programme throughout Europe.

Palamon has an 11-strong investment team focused across Europe targeting mid-market investment opportunities.

Recent investments made by Palamon include Cambridge Education Group, a provider of pre-university and English language teaching in the UK, and a Si Collection SpA, an Italian debt collection business and the take-private of Retail Decisions, a global payment cards and fraud prevention business.
