US-based Patricof & Co has changed its name to Apax Partners Inc. The decision is a move to strengthen its position in the global private equity market. The firm has been working in close partnership with Apax Partners, its sister company in Europe and Asia, since 1977 and the group will now operate worldwide under that name. Patricof & Co and Apax Partners have assets of over $11 billion under management.
