PE charity names head

The Private Equity Foundation (PEF), the new charity created by a number of leading European private equity firms, has appointed Shaks Ghosh as chief executive. Ghosh was previously Chief Executive of Crisis, the national homelessness charity.

Prior to that Shaks held senior positions at the London Housing Federation and the National Housing Federation. She has also held a number of other senior board positions in the public sector.

PEF has gained backing across the private equity community with more than 70 private equity firms and associated advisory firms, raising over £5m to date. This initial sum is supporting five selected charities with the intention to raise further funds annually, building a portfolio of charities in the UK and Europe.
