Pelka leaves HgCapital

Roman Pelka has left HgCapital to join European hedge fund Aspect Capital. At HgCapital he was an associate director working with the group’s general LBO team. Prior to that he was an investment banker at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD.) There he was mainly involved in private equity transactions in Eastern Europe. He has an MBA from Insead.

Seagreave will focus on LBO origination, similar to Tim Taylor’s role before he moved to his newly created position focusing on mezzanine. Seagreave will report to Richard Munn, managing director and head of loan capital markets at Deutsche Bank in London.

This is the second resignation from JP Morgan in three weeks after Thibaut Parayre left to fill the newly created position of head of European Mezzanine Capital Markets at CSFB’s European leveraged finance division.
