Mark Anson has joined Oak Hill Investment Management as a managing partner and chair of the firm’s investment committee. He previously was with Nuveen Investments as president and executive director of investment services. Before that, he served as CEO of Hermes Pensions Management and as CIO for CalPERS.

Bill Aulet has been named managing director of the MIT Entrepreneurship Center. He had been acting managing director, and serves as a senior lecturer at MIT Sloan School of Management.

Richard Blum, founder and chairman of Blum Capital Partners, has joined the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco’s Economic Advisory Council for a three-year term.

David Cohen has joined Centerview Partners as a New York-based partner in the firm’s general industrial and financial sponsors groups. He previously was a managing director with One Equity Partners.

Larry Furlong and Adam Harrington have joined Financial Technology Partners as a managing director and vice president, respectively. Furlong previously was a senior banker in Goldman Sachs’s financial sponsors group, while Harrington was a vice president in the tech banking group of Banc of America Securities. FT Partners also announced two promotions: Miguel Uria to director and Tim Wolfe to vice president.

Ian Goldin has been named non-executive director of U.K.-based development finance institution CDC Group PLC. Goldin is a former World Bank executive who currently serves as director of the James Martin 21st Century School at the University of Oxford.

Eric Kump has agreed to join The Carlyle Group as a managing director of European buyouts. He previously was with Dubai International Capital.

Alex Lloyd has agreed to join the Hong Kong office of Sidley Austin as a partner in the law firm’s U.S. Corporate Finance practice, with a focus on debt and equity capital markets transactions.

Steve Mankoff and David Wroe have joined the strategic advisory board of Genstar Capital. Mankoff is the former senior vice president of global and technical services at Siebel Systems, while Wroe was chairman and CEO of Agency Management Systems (now Vertafore).

Ronald McMahan, founder of Global Energy Decisions and senior vice president at IHS Inc., has joined General Atlantic as a special adviser.

Bill McManus of Primus Capital Funds has been promoted to director. He joined the firm in 2008 as a principal, before which he was with Waud Capital Partners.

P. Jayendra Nayak has joined Morgan Stanley as head of Indian operations. He had spent the past eight months as an operating partner with private equity firm Advent International, and before that was chairman and CEO of Axis Bank.

Andrew Parker is stepping down as an associate with Union Square Ventures, which he first joined in 2006.

Dominic Petito has stepped down as co-head of U.S. corporate and investment banking at BMO Capital Markets.

Chris Pietersen has joined First Reserve Corp., an energy-focused private equity firm, as a vice president of investor relations and co-investments. He will work out of the firm’s London office, and previously was with placement agent C.P. Eaton.

Patrick Rond of Key Principal Partners has been promoted to vice president. He joined the firm in 2002 from ABN AMRO.

Yang Shih-chien, Taiwan’s former deputy economics minister, has become chairman of private equity firm China Prosper Investment and Management.

Gregory Stanger has joined online textbook rental company Chegg.com as chief financial officer. He previously was a venture partner with Technology Crossover Ventures.

Brad Steele has joined MMV Financial as a senior vice president, focused on origination and marketing out of the Toronto-based firm’s Boston and New York offices. He previously was a managing director and senior vice president with Square 1 Bank.
