Vindi Singh Banga has joined Clayton, Dubilier & Rice as a London-based operating partner. He previously was an executive board member of Unilever PLC, and president of the company’s Foods, Home and Personal Care unit.
Jason Barg and Trevor Rich have joined Lovell Minnick Partners as senior associates. Barg will work in the firm’s Radnor, Pa. office, and previously was part of Goldman Sachs’ financial institutions group. Rich will be based in El Segundo, Calif., and was an analyst in Morgan Stanley’s strategic acquisitions group.
Cheryl Carner has joined GE Capital Franchise Finance as a senior vice president in the private equity practice. She previously was a managing director with CapitalSource.
Alex DeAraujo has joined Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe as an operating executive within the firm’s portfolio management group. He previously was a senior manager with Bain & Co., focused on operating initiatives for PE deals and post-M&A integration.

John Krieg has been named as Northern Trust Global Investments’s managing director for the European and MENA regions. He previously was based in Chicago as Northern Trust’s head of global investment product management.
Chris Laskowski of Citigroup has been named the bank’s COO and head of financial entrepreneurs in Asia-Pacific. He previously ran PE banking for Citi in Asia.
Chris Langone has joined Symphony Technology Group as vice president of business development. He will be based in Palo Alto, and previously was a New York-based vice president with Redwood Capital Group.
Yingru Li has been named co-chief investment officer for China Asean Fund, a $1 billion private equity fund targeting infrastructure, energy and natural resources opportunities in Southeast Asia. Li previously was a managing director of private equity investments for China Investment Corp.—a role that now will be filled by Jingping Guo.
Spence McClelland has joined Noro-Moseley Partners as a vice president. He previously was director of strategic and corporate development with Healthways Inc., and before that worked at Willis Stein & Partners.
Andrew Peix has joined Serent Capital as vice president of origination. He previously was director of business development with Riverside Partners.
Colette Rabbat Taylor has joined Grail Partners, a merchant bank focused on financial tech and financial services, as a partner. She previously was with Proctor NBF Capital Partners, a private equity affiliate of Putnam Lovell NBF.
Neil Schaefer has joined GenNx360 Capital Partners as a vice president. He previously was with Friend Skoler & Co.Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP announced that it has hired a group of corporate and private equity attorneys from Nixon Peabody’s New York office. The group is led by Mats Carlston, former Nixon Peabody head of global finance, who will lead Pillsbury’s leveraged finance team. Other hires include: Doug Schneller (to lead distressed investing), James Kelly (head of leveraged buyouts) and William Egler (asset-backed finance).

John Soden and Craig Cook have joined the health care group of Houlihan Lokey. Soden will serve as a San Francisco-based managing director, and previously was with Thomas Weisel Partners. John Swainson, former CEO of Computer Associates, has joined Silver Lake Partners as a senior advisor. In other Silver Lake news, John Hoffman has joined the firm’s mid-market investment group (Sumeru) as a principal. He previously was a vice president with GTCR.
Bertrand Theaud has joined the Shanghai office of law firm Winston & Strawn LLP, as a partner focused on M&A and private equity transactions. He previously was a partner with DLA Piper.
Patty Halfen Wexler is stepping down as a principal with Elevation Partners, according to VentureBeat. In other Elevation news, Fortune.com reports that the firm is letting go an undisclosed number of back-office employees.
