Michael Dickstein has joined Austin Ventures as an entrepreneur-in-residence. Joining AV from Atlanta-based Internet Security Systems, Dickstein is the first specialist in his field to be added to AVis program. As an entrepreneur-in-residence, Dickstein will be applying his expertise in security technologies and trends to assist portfolio companies in developing innovative products that best meet market needs.

Michael Medzigian, formerly president and CEO of Lazard Freres Real Estate Investors and a former managing director of Lazard, announced today the creation of Watermark Capital Partners LLC, a new real estate private equity investment firm based in Greenwich, Connecticut. Medzigian is chairman and managing partner of the new firm.

Paul Holland has been named a general partner at Foundation Capital. Most recently he was senior vice president for worldwide sales for Kana Communications. Holland will join the seven general partners that comprise the Foundation Capital team. At his new post, Holland will discover and foster the growth of enterprise software technologies.

Mary Coleman has joined Walden International as a general partner. Most recently, Coleman was CEO of Rightworks Corp., an e-commerce software company acquired by I2 Technologies in March 2001.

Martin Levetin has been named a venture partner with Blueprint Ventures. Levetin was most recently president and CEO of ShareGate Inc., a company that developed and marketed breakthrough distributed voice and data residential gateway.
