? Paul Carbone and Michael Proudlock have been named co-directors of Robert W. Baird & Co. Inc.‘s global private equity business. Carbone will continue to serve as managing partner of Baird Venture Partners and Baird Capital Partners, the firm’s U.S. private equity business. Proudlock will remain chairman and chief executive of Granville Baird Capital Partners, Baird’s European private equity business.

? Peter Willmott has joined Berkshires Capital Investors (BCI) as managing partner, and Brad Svrluga has been named a partner with the firm. Willmott is the former president and chief executive of Zenith Electronics Corp. An original investor in BCI, Willmott replaces the late Taylor R. Briggs. Svrluga has been promoted to partner from principal, a position he has held with BCI for the past two years. Previously Svrluga was senior consultant with Monitor Company, an international strategy consulting firm.

? Scott Fisher and John Heller have joined Conshohocken, Pa.-based TenX Capital Partners as principals. Fisher most recently served as senior vice president of AppNet Inc., a global systems integration company acquired by Commerce One Inc. Previously, Heller was chief executive and president of RentPort Inc., an information services company in the multi-family real estate sector.

? Paul Adkins and David Kao have been named managing directors with H&Q Asia Pacific. Adkins will be the lead partner in the firm’s $200 million Japan Technology Fund. Kao will manage the firm’s greater China team, encompassing China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, from the firm’s Hong Kong office. Previously Kao was a director of investment banking activities in Taiwan for Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc.
