Krish Prabhu has been named CEO of Tellabs and will leave his partnership post with Morgenthaler Ventures. Prior to joining Morgenthaler, Prabhu had served as CEO of Alcatel USA.

Manish Mittal has joined Kennet Venture Partners as a finance director. He spent his past three years with Advent International, most recently as financial controller.

Ross Sayers has decided to leave his chairman position with Associated British Ports,?reportedly?to?head up a new European VC fund launched by Australia-based Macquarie Bank Ltd.

Gary Gertz has agreed to join Belvedere Capital Partners as president during the second quarter of 2004. He is currently president and CEO of the California Bankers Association.

Georges van Hoegaerden, president of The Venture Co., has joined Belgium-based Big Bang Ventures as a venture partner.

Michael Barr has been promoted to vice president at Sterling Investment Partners, which he joined two years ago from Lehman Brothers.

Kodiak Venture Partners promoted John Abraham and Chris Greendale to general partners, and promoted Subhash Roy to principal. Abraham and Greendale previously were venture partners, while Roy was entrepreneur-in-residence.

Austin Ventures promoted Kevin Lalande and Krishna Srinvasan to principal. Lalande joined the firm in 2001 and focuses on nanotechnology. Srinivasan joined in 2000 and concentrates on semiconductor, systems and EDA software companies.

David Lang, a managing director of TA Associates, has resigned from the board of Lawson Software Inc. Lang has served on the Lawson board since March 2001, in conjunction with a TA Associates investment in the company.

Steven Berrard, co-founder of New River Capital and former CEO of Blockbuster Entertainment Group, has been named an independent board director with troubled HealthSource Corp.

Bill Bryant, a former partner with Atlas Venture, was named an independent board director for Jabber Inc., a Denver-based provider of presence and messaging solutions.
