PolyTechnos Venture-Partners, the German early stage venture capital firm, has promoted Dr Christian Schneider from investment manager to partner within its life sciences practice.
Schneider joined PolyTechnos in January 2001 from Centocor Inc, a Johnson & Johnson company in the US, which he joined in 1995 and where he worked both in the diagnostic as well as the biopharmaceutical side of the business.
From 1992 to 1995, he was a doctoral research fellow at Boehringer Mannheim GmbH in Germany, where he developed novel, automated immuno-assays for the routine diagnosis of cancer. Christian holds a degree in veterinary science and a PhD in immunology, both from Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich, as well as an MBA from PennState University in Pennsylvania. He was a graduate grantee of the Hanns-Seidel-Foundation, Munich, and is a US-certified ISO 9000 Lead Assessor.
